Hey guys, I just took out the carburetor of my 1982 Honda Urban Express and cleaned it out thoroughly. When we reinstalled the carb the throttle went crazy and we weren’t even touching the throttle at all. It seem as though I was gunning it. We saw a post about the throttle slide but I don’t know much about it. Does anybody have any ideas about what we can do to fix it.

Pulled that yesterday. One of those immediate: "you dummy!" moments (edited)
Re: 1982 Honda Urban Express throttle issues.
Would you know how to put it back in correctly?
Re: 1982 Honda Urban Express throttle issues.
Unscrew the slide from the top of the carburetor and rotate it 180 degrees.

Thank you so much. I will give that a shot!

If you pay close attention to the slide as you pull up on it. On one side is a slot for the throttle cable to slide in and on the other side on the bottom has a tapered groove for idle adjustment screw.
