1977 puch e50

i saved 77 puch maxi from scrap pile .. starts right up so as father and son project we clean it up fresh paint job new plug and tires but after we put the back tire on and hooked up all the cables sounds like something rubbing or over tight ,,,, to my fear drain the tranny found it glittery ,,,,, aluminum shavings as they didn't stick to a magnet ... are we gonna have to pull the clutch or is it possible we got something to tight ????????

Re: 1977 puch e50

At very least pull the clutch side open and see if there's something obvious. From your description it could be anything.

A minimal bit of Metal is normal for an E50 Engine if the fluid hasn't been changed in a while, the Transmission isn't made of Aluminium. Could be most things really.
