Hey guys so i purchased the crank with the NACHI bearing set and that $35 3 shoe clutch from treats. i just installed them into my ped. For some reason the clutch and starter plate are touching and i cannot get the snap ring on. im using the 0.1 large shim behind the housing and a .3mm small shim behind the clutch. i made sure everything was on correctly and looked at all these posts about shimming and can't figure out whats goin on. If anyone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated!!

Mine as well throw that $35 clutch in the trash. You still have the OG 2 shoe? If so have you tried using that and get some super stiffy springs from Treats for it.

Which 3 shoe clutch are you referring to? This one or the the cheaper ones?
Is it a problem getting different thickness shims?

I wish i had the og still but it was trashed when i first got my ped.
and its the cheap'o one haha im running stock springs tightened in 2 1/2 turns from flush. i have the brace and the thick springs. would it be worth uprgading to that?? i have this 70 cc kit installed

ALSO: okay so actually it was a problem with the starter plate and the bell housing. They were shimmed out way to far and made contact with the clutch cover. nothing horridly wrong but there was some material roll on the edges of the starter plate that was blocking the ring from sitting correctly which was pushing the starter plate in further causing the constant contact. i sanded the edges back down flush it was very minor snow i just need to mess around with the shimms and get the clearance correct i hope!!
