Locking tabs necessary with nylon lock nuts?

I’m rebuilding my rear wheel (Tomos Grimeca snowflake). I don’t have the locking tabs ring that goes on the sprocket. Is it absolutely necessary if I use nylon insert lock nuts and blue Loctite?

Thanks!

I used normal bolts and loctite didn’t think nylock would fit near the chain

Re: Locking tabs necessary with nylon lock nuts?

I've used nylocks on Honda's in just about every place imaginable. Not only do they make the cut, but (imo) they're superior.

Re: Locking tabs necessary with nylon lock nuts?

I'd still use the lock tabs.
