E50 Terrible acceleration

Just rebuild the bottom end on my Maxi. (It ran before but clearly had a bearing out)

I put the clutch springs at 720 out from all the way in, but only because I'm an idiot and messed with them and didn't know where they were originally at

Idles kinda high on the stand, but I can rev the dickens out of it.

Checked for leaks, no dice, but how accurate is spraying shit on a engine really?

Doesn't accelerate for shit when I'm on it. Bogs and dies if I whiskey throttle it, if I'm nice and easy on it I can get going maybe 10mph... Maybe

15mm Bing

Biturbo

Treats 50cc kit hi head ring gapped and chamfered

Hi flow air filter

Timing is at 16mm and gapped at .018" but I've yet to put a proper piston stop on it to find a more accurate tdc

60 jet

Needle is at the top

6bhs plug gapped to .018"

Taking off the air filter helped

Choke kills the bike

Thinking I should just down jet but perhaps my case seal is shit or my clutch is tuned all messed up.

Re: E50 Terrible acceleration

If taking the air filter off helped then yeah, your too rich ...downjet

I'm thinking it's a clutch problem. Once the pipe hits shit is good to go, but it seems like the clutch is grabbing super early and the motor doesn't want to go. I'm at 720° out from all the way. Maybe I need to tighten down

How tight is your chain?

In Some of the early clutchs you can not tightened the springs to much or they just bind up, you might wanna grab some new springs. Oooh and use a fish scale because snorkely Pete is the shit!

It's pretty tight. Like a half inch each way. Blue springs might be in my future

You can’t just look at it say it looks fine you need the fish scale & your stock springs are probably just binded up because you got them cranked down so tight. (edited)

I'll do the vise method he mentions in the video. The half inch was referring to my chain btw.

Now that I look back 720 from all the way in is max and not stock which is my bad. I'll loosen those puppies and report in.

Loosened up the clutch springs, got them nice and even. She's a ripper now total night and day difference
