Can't seem to find type F oil in the UK?
Tried the three major shops in my area, none have heard of type f. None of the garages have any either, seems to have stopped existing in the UK. Is it something that must be ordered specially?

Most of the grocery stores in the UK don't stock fresh bread anymore

You can uae mercon IV or really any auto trans oil you want to

Yea that should be fine. I have been using motorex atf in my race bikes and its really nice, but very pricey. I figure though that one bottle does last a full season.

Type F transmission fluid is supposed to be used in old fords. I don't know if ford cars are popular in Europe but if you know anyone that drives one or if there is a ford dealership near you, you can ask there. From a simple google search there are a few branches of ford in the uk. I never knew mopeds take type f too. mine takes non detergent oil.

This is essentially type-f. Nice price too. Gallon lasts forever.

As far as any brand of type f formulation goes, CaseIH Hy-Tran, John Deere Hy-Gard, and similar trans/hyd fluids are likely to be far superior to Valvoline, Pennzoil, etc "type-f" since the technology is up to date for use in modern farm and construction. Quarts of "type f" at auto zone probably stopped bothering to make any improvements to a fluid without any application to any vehicle model newer than 1980.

Caterpillar TO4 is also an alternative. Scroll down this page for a list of other brands you can use. Ford type f is even listed at the bottom.

Type F fluid was specifically formulated to FoMoCo standards, for use in automatic transmissions in 1970s and early 1980s Ford vehicles. Here in the US you can buy a quart at Autozone for example, for $3.79 USD.

Older Jaguars used type F as well, so it should be available across the pond.

Saw Type F just today at the auto parts store, but as mentioned above the newer industrial stuff may be better? $5.59 a quart here....house brand.

Well I obviously noticed something nobody else did what the hell are you using it for what moped are you going to put it in if it's for a moped it will usually either be gear oil which is basically type f or it will call for Valvoline suffix a transmission fluid which basically is UDT for tractors but if it's going into a moped especially an older one if you use Marvel Mystery Oil 4 to 1 ratio with Castrol synthetic transmission fluid it will swell your quad clutch pads and the seals your run it for about I don't know two weeks and then put in whatever it requires

B&M Trickshift is my go to for Type F fluid, I've tried a lot of different ones and it stays the most consistent.
