Replaced the carb, now the back wheel spins very quickly (Video, General 5 Star)

So I replaced the carb (it was leaking excessively from the bowl) on my Minarelli V1 with the exact same carb. Used the same jet and otherwise didn't change anything. I checked all the gaskets, tightened everything and generally gave it a once over. Nothing really seems different but it obviously isn't running right. I attached a video below if it helps. The best I can guess from reading the forums is an air leak. I'm considering putting some gasket maker around where the carb attaches to the intake but I wanted to ask the experts first. Help please! I'm totally new to mopeds. and thanks!

Edit: I cut off the engine in the video (edited)

Sounds like throttle cables hanging up.

Re: Replaced the carb, now the back wheel spins very quickly (Video, General 5 Star)

Thanks for responding, what would be the solution for that or I guess the cause would be the better question to ask? I was pretty sure I installed everything correctly and I reinstalled it a second time with the same result.

Re: Replaced the carb, now the back wheel spins very quickly (Video, General 5 Star)

look down carb to verify slide is closing all the way, (with air box on) then adjust your idle by turning idle screw. u want it so it dont peter out when u come to a stop.

Re: Replaced the carb, now the back wheel spins very quickly (Video, General 5 Star)

Thanks! That's something I didn't mention in the post, it does this no matter what position the idle screw is in. If I don't cut the engine it sounds like it just runs faster and faster

Re: Replaced the carb, now the back wheel spins very quickly (Video, General 5 Star)

That was definitely it! The new carb had a slightly longer lead for the throttle cable. Didn't occur to me at all that the slide wasn't closing all the way. Thank you!

Ready to ride tomorrow!

You were right! New carb has a longer lead in for the throttle cable. Fixed it, thanks for your help!
