I've been resurrecting what appears to be a '72 Vespa Ciao Supreme (date of manufacture is Dec. '71. Has a sprung seat and springer fork).
The previous owner put on a nice pipe and big bore kit, but in doing so, he eliminated the pedal drive train. I've found everything I need to restore it but the freewheel nut.
I've ordered 2 different ones (one knock off, one NOS vespa), but each one has a hole in it that's too large to fit the axle shaft.
I am desperate to find this part. I'm willing throw a whole wheel/transmission at it if I have to, but I'd much rather just purchase the nut I need! Any help locating parts would be greatly appreciated!
I attached a pic of a similar Ciao I found on here with the nut location circled, just we we know we're talking about the same thing. I have a brand new freewheel, but that nut is elusive!
