Blind Bearing removal.

Louis Brunskill /

Here's a trick.. my old time.. "young* friend taught me. I've heard of it.. just never used it. He says it's a dead ringer every time.. he's right!.. Pack bread in the dam thing... And hydraulically pump it out with a tight fitting pin and hammer.. too cool! Thanks: Alex Hedrick !

Hey man! Anytime!

Overpriced Parts /

If the side covers is thin cast aluminum or bearing is very stuck you’re better off getting a blind bearing puller

Nice! Only cost you a piece of bread.

Re: Blind Bearing removal.

Those bearings fall out with just a lil heat.

Bread winner!

I did this on a tomos trans cover once, was pretty difficult.

If the surrounding aluminum is thin, you'd better support the other side or you could blow right through it. And in that case, you may as well just heat the surrounding aluminum with a torch and slap it down onto a wooden benchtop, the bearing may just fall outta there.
