Making a gasket suzuki fa50

I wanted to make a gasket that sits between the carburetor and the valve reed assembly. Its part number 22 in the picture. Any advice? Thanks.

Rub a little oil on the flange, and press it hard onto some gasket paper. Oil should soak in and leave a near perfect template.

Or, lay some gasket paper over the flange and tap around it with a small ball peen hammer. Gasket should cut itself out on the edges, or at least leave an impression on the paper.

What kind of material should I use for this?

I use rubberized gasket paper from NAPA . Comes in a roll for less than 10 bucks .

Enough to last you a very long time , unless you're cutting gaskets every day .

Any flat cardboard will work. I've been running beer box gaskets smeared with goop for so long it's not even funny. For that particular gasket just glue three or four layers together and your good.(edited)
