Good morning guys, I’m making great progress in restoring my Garelli Katia, thanks to a lot of really good advice from this forum. I’m almost at the last Hurdle but I’m stuck on what part this is;

I took the crankcase cover off to access the clutch and as I did, this rubber bush fell out from nowhere. Does anyone know where it goes? Having looked inside it doesn’t seem to offer any purpose? It’s the bush In the second picture ,Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks Luke

The original thread was concerning a lack of sprocket movement.

maybe just cut a section of heater hose and look at diagram for placement.

I’ve looked at the diagrams and it seems to be a “bumper” for the kick start lever it prevents the inner part of the lever from hitting the other internal parts of the kickstart. Heater hose is a great idea!
