Lol, exactly. Positive breeds positive and negative more negative. If I really cared what most other people thought I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be playing with mopeds and ltittle motorcycles. This has been a fun build so far.
I started out here same took a ton of criticism but just kept working towards finishing and in the end you may not have the fastest best moped out there but its the best it can be, better than any TV or show on it...Love it man looks great so far you probably spent more on spray paint than buying it
Geez, nice job so far! I can't wait to see it finished!

Yup for sure! This hobby is for recreation. None of my bikes are museum quality. They're just riders. About the paint your about right. Lol
but why?
Looking so sexy!!! Thanks for the update!! Douche nozzle in Mommies basement just had to chime in.
Lot of mommies basement shit talkers on here
I like what op said
Positive breeds positive and negative negative
I think its pretty cool given the model it is.
And hell its for yourself.
Sweet little project that someone will pay u for in the long run
Thanks guys and really why not. It's a hobby, so it's cause I like working on old orphans no body wants maybe. I probably don't even have $200 invested in this including the cost of the bike. I have a CT70 to do next then I'll have to find something else the haters can hate!
they just hate bc it looks so rad. nice work!
I thought the Positive breeds positive comment clever My Damn self!! Jay, I'm down to 3 trail 70's. I use to have a fleet of them and flipped them often. Not so much anymore. Pretty stoked one of my ole 110's came back to Me the other day. Not so stoked to find it missing it's AC in the housing!!! I refer to bikes nobody wants like " Charlie Browns Christmas tree " They often become My favorite. Fun isn't directly proportional to dollars spent.

I agree. I have two trail 90s. 1979 & 1966 that I refurbished. Between myself my brother and a couple of friends we have a lot of small vintage bikes and minibikes. Great fun for the price, my brother owns the most and often says he could have a Harley or a whole lot of little bikes! We take the to a few shows a year.
Great pics Jay!! Special place in my heart for trail 90's! My first was a brand spanking new 1972 model. It cost $456.00 with tax. I use to hot wire it and ride it to school when I was in 6th grade. Use to park it across the street.......LOL It wasn't that many years ago that My wife's only transportation was a trail 90. Your Brothers Harley comment is right as rain. I'm all out of " Big " bikes but keep a fleet of lil ones on standby.
holy crap the big end bearing is just bolted to the crank?

It's just like an old model airplane engine. Lol.
Tried it yesterday for the first time and didn't have any spark, hopefully I just got a wire crossed on reassembly, as I had lots of fire before.
Well I'm hoping the ignition module went bad, cause I just ordered one off eBay. I had fire, but none after the rebuild, checked everything I could. Hopefully this is the cure.

True that. I'm on board, I wanted to do the same with mine when I had it.
I hope you might be able to, or someone can answer a couple questions for me. How do you get the piston out, I guess really how do you get the crank out. And when I unbolted the rod rollers from the bearing fell out, does anyone know how many there are supposed to be? I'm trying to get the stat her off right now but it's rusting on pretty good, anyway I'm about to go out and try again after seeing that it looks like it's just the plastic part that I need to lift off. Then I can open it up a little further. Thanks.
That’s bad ass! Great job looks almost like it came off the assembly line!
So did it start? I gots to know!
