QT50 No Spark

Running through a bunch of issues and trying to get my QT50 started and running.

I tried to start it today and checked my plug and I'm getting no spark. Brand new plug, brand new ignition coil. I was getting a spark when I got the QT50 two weeks ago.

What should I check for with a multimeter on the rectifier and CDI module? I did notice my CDI module has blue goo dripping off of it - like melted plastic almost.

Getting really frustrated chasing issues around on this thing but I think I'm close!

Re: QT50 No Spark

are you sure you have the ignition correct? did you see i replied to your earlier post?

I'm sure. The brake light is coming on when I connect the battery which means it's in RUN.

Can I not test it with a multimeter?

Re: QT50 No Spark

Yes, it's in the manual. http://projectmopedmanual.info/Manual_HTML/yamaha.html Search qt50 no spark several post on this here.
