So the stock air filter on my carb comes off when I'm riding. Just wondering if that's how crappy the stock filter is or did I put it on wrong? It just slips right off.
Thanks

The metal air filter is supposed to be held in by an airbox. The "regular" filter for an aftermarket SHA is held on with a spring wire:

But others are like this:

They are held on with a clamp
I see. I guess I should get that
another one for close fit.. .https://www.treatland.tv/dellorto-air-filter-p/malossi-sha-filter-040843.htm
or just use some gorilla tape or metal tape to hold it in. i found that the black plastic cover restricted too much airflow.
The stock filter sucks. Get a piece of k&m foam from treats for $1 and some filter oil then hose clamp it to the end of the carb.
I cut a large hole in the airbox and covered it up with pantyhose and removed the metal screen on mine. It rather liked it... it liked me switching to an 18mm mikuni more tho..
