Weird white slime in my engine

Hemitheus Gherardini /

I have a Foxi GT that i just got. I popped the cover off of the engine and it is filled with white goo. Definitely not oil. I am concerned. Newbie to mopeds but not to mechanicals. Is this goo a good thing to have in here? it seems monumentally wrong.

Thanks

White goo usually means water got into the oil.

Re: Weird white slime in my engine

Mopedlar is probably correct. When water and oil emulsify it makes a whitish foamy slime. If you change the oil and it does it again, don't despair. A very small amount of water can make this slime. I had to change my oil a couple of times before it was all gone.

It could also possibly be lime .. tanker trucks are washed out with lime, and sometimes it gets into the gasoline.

I had ethanol eat a cheapo fuel filter couple years ago, result was fuel line full of creamy white goo.
