Engine runs but it don't drive

I finally got my sachs columbia commuter engine going, but it doesn't move anywhere.

If i lift the rear wheel it will spin and gets a little faster with more throttle. As soon as it touches the ground it stops and has no forward movement.

Is this a drive chain problem or pedal shaft or something inside the engine case???

Clutch issue.

Re: Engine runs but it don't drive

Should it be tightened or loosened?

It seems when I tighten the tension screw it makes the engine want to compress even when rolling around. If I loosen it it wont start.

Run through that. Take it all apart and check everything.

Re: Engine runs but it don't drive

yep. i had the thin washer towards the outside so moved it back to the inside next to the donut and took off one thin shim and wahlah... motion!

So now the engine works. i have motion. but no lights?

put in new front and rear bulbs. the horn barely works too.

any ideas?
