How to keep an exhaust from rusting

Any ideas here? i love my proma circuit and dont want it to rust away.

I painted my tecno circuit with 2000 degree rated paint and it still bubbled and cracked off, but idk if that was an error on my part painting it

Re: How to keep an exhaust from rusting

I've had the same luck with high temp paint until I finally got around to sand blasting all the original paint off. It held much better after that.

Re: How to keep an exhaust from rusting

hows it holding up? i want something that would hope fully last atleast one year

Re: How to keep an exhaust from rusting

I've had my proma painted with the 2,000 degree black paint for six months with no problems. I did sandblast prior to pant though. Sounds like that's the key.

Re: How to keep an exhaust from rusting

I have seen the pipe p to the chamber burn off any paint but not rust if driven regularly.

Re: How to keep an exhaust from rusting

I used that ceramic engine paint, and it's burnt off at the header. It's discolored but hasn't really rusted. I might try good quality bbq paint next.
