So a few months ago I bought a '78 MKII Sport Maxi. The engine was seized from sitting it looks like. After letting the topend soak in PB Blast for a week then trying the good old dowel and dead blow hammer trick. Nothing moved.
The all ports are block by the piston and I have plans to replace the whole top end and rod while keeping the stock crank.
With that said can I take all the cylinder studs out, split the cases and take things apart that way?
