I have a 1980 yamaha qt50 moped. the kick start locked up. Upon investigation, the gears are fine and the kick start works fine.. I was able to take off the top end and the piston came out of the cylinder fine. when i turn the gear that moves the piston, the piston hits the side of the engine instead of going into the engine. It doesnt seem to move correctly. Again, the top end is off and the piston is free. Any ideas?
