Unknown Clutch Please Help ID and Find Parts

Shea Transue /

This is the clutch on my moped I haven't been able to find anything like it but that probably because I don't know the right terminology for it. So what is it? Where can I find new Shoes or Springs for it? Is it even in this reality or in my head?

Re: Unknown Clutch Please Help ID and Find Parts

You didn't mention what moped. I'm going to assume its for a TYM Angel? Repair what you have, new replacement parts are not available. You might find used parts in the buy/sell or on ebay.

Also, finding springs shouldn't be a problem since they're basically universal. You will just need to locate a set the right size and strength. https://www.treatland.tv/SearchResults.asp?Search=clutch+springs

Yes it is a 1977 TYM Angel, what if the clutch shoes are bad? How should I go about replacing those?

You could jb weld new friction material on them from mcmastercarr

Re: Unknown Clutch Please Help ID and Find Parts

There may be local brake/clutch shops that could re-bond them as well. If it was me, I'd just grab a good used clutch the next time one pops up on ebay.
