Moped Wont Stay Running (PLEASE HELP!!!)

Braden Sluiter /

Alright so I have a taotao 50. I took a corner too fast and long story short my moped ended up in a ditch with water. Mostly only the front was in water. I got it out and took it all apart and put it back together. It will start up if I let it sit for an hour or so. It will run for about 30 seconds then it starts to peter out and then dies. I cleared my fuel lines and changed the gas and oil. What might be the problem? If anyone has any clue as to what might be wrong I am totally open to any suggestions? it almost seems like something is clogged somewhere along the fuel system because it runs great for those 30 seconds until it dies. Could it be my carburetor? Or my Fuel Jet? Please help. Thanks guys

You have a scooter, not a moped. I suggest that you find a scooter site to ask your questions.

I would guess something with a vacuum operated petcock. But yeah not a moped, so kick rocks.

your wax ring is probably leaking from the impact. check that first.

I agree it could be the Johnny ring but check the flapper valve too.
