I bought a 1978 Honda PA50II and I can not get the thing running.
New:
Chain
Ignition switch
Spark plug
I pedal the hell out of it with the ignition and the kill switch on but nothing.
Any ideas on what could be the problem?
Thanks

First off before you get any serious responses from here you need to check for spark, fuel and compression.
I would start with making sure you have spark since you put in a new ignition by holding the spark plug against the head while turning over the motor.
what size chain?
1/2 by 1/8
I cleaned the points and check the spark and still nothing. But when I was messing around I saw that a black and white wire coming from the ignition coil wasn't hooked up to anything and I can't figure out where it goes to so maybe that is the problem.
Ya, your going to want to hook that up. The black/white wire hooks up to black/white from the silicon rectifier. The black/yellow hooks up to the black wire with the yellow tape from the stator.
Is the silicone rectifier the small black box with three wires coming out of it?
Yes.
