v1 runs, but won't start?

Dangertooth -PipeDreams/- /

I'm helping a friend get his carrabela running. I timed it and set the gap to the best of my abilities. There is spark. If I put gas in the cylinder and start it, it runs, even after that gas is burned up.

So there is spark, air, fuel flow, and enough of each to run the bike are WOT once it is running. Any reason it won't start? Is it just timing?

Thanks!

I think the post clarifies the title. Starts with gas in the cylinder, continues running once that gas is used

the small hole on the bottom of the atomizer inside the carb needs to be inspected and cleaned

What head and what spark plug type are you using? Properly gapped to 0.025 inches?

Also how do your starter clutch bearing and spring leaf tabs on the inside of your transmission cover look?
