Tomos a35 break in issues..?

So I'n breaking in my tomos, I just put a new piston and rings, old cylinder and head......I'm following the wikis instruction on how to break in a kit. I keep hearing a pinging noise in the engine (the piston) and I dont wont my engine to seize up like last time so am I doing anything wrong or right? is it natural?

Right now im doing 4 min heat cycles, I let it idle for 4 min and blip the throttle alil then I repeat 4 times and so one with the throttle even higher.(its in the wiki)

You seized a kit and put new rings in the same cylinder? you can't just do that.

Re: Tomos a35 break in issues..?

Its not the same cylinder, im using the stock cylinder not the kit

stock cylinder stock piston, new rings, stock timing, the sound is probably a leak somewhere, fix it, then ride the bike hard. Cast iron needs to be ridden hard to seat the rings, did you put new rings in the old cylinder without deglazing it? If you did the rings may not seat.

Well its not a stock piston its a new meteor one, whats deglazing?
