Putting on a new Swing arm on a 77 Maxi

Grant Casleton /

I'm new to working on Mopeds and I'm just wondering if anyone has a diagram on how to change a swing arm or if someone can at least tell me one of the easier ways to do it. From what I can see it looks like I need to take the engine off so I can get to the nuts to loosen the bent swing arm. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Well I heard from mike beez that taking the engine off is an easy way to do it. pull off the 3 bolts, the chain carb and the pipe gets the whole motor outta the way.

with a socket you might be able to just get in there and loose it and bang the thing out. take off the wheel and shocks, replace and go for it.

does mike beez own a '77 maxi? i wanted to post how i work on mine, but wasn't sure if it was the same model.

i took mine off to service the bushing, not for a bent swingarm.
