puch e50 start lever question

so the '76 puch is fine but sometimes (often) when i pull the starter lever and try to kick it over the clutch just slips (as in no resistance)...other times it engages and i can turn it over...not a big deal but i'm wondering if i have too much tranny fluid in it....right now it comes to the bottom of the filler hole...

anyone???

Adjust the cable. You can always spin an E50 with the starter lever, if the cable is adjusted correctly. You can adjust the cable at the lever, and at the adjuster. Tranny fluid has no affect on the starting system.

...................on a rarer note, sometimes the declutching lever (part 23) has been taken off the declutching shaft, and has been installed on the wrong spline. When the declutching lever is pulled, it shouldn't go too much past 90 degrees from the cable.
