k10 forks are really squishy

Tyler Jaynes /

I've filled the forks with the proper amount of oil (so i think), just using some 10w30. I took off the legs and filled them separately by pouring a little oil in and pumping it till I didn't hear air bubbles anymore. When I sit on the bike they seem to compress too much and when I break they compress all the way. I thought maybe I didn't add enough oil so I put a tad bit more but now its experiencing slight hydro-lock ( wont fully compress now) Just curious if I should use a different oil or maybe post some instructions on filling it up? I weigh 170 fyi

It sounds like you went from too little fluid to too much fluid. Try taking out a little. I use a straw to take out some of the fluid.
