you could take a photo that clearly shows what you want to assemble. you know, one thats not blurry.. that might help.

I got the throttle in, but now it locks the choke on?!

In your pic you've got the spring on wrong. The cable should go through the spring and the spring sits around that raised area. take it apart and try again. I haven't messed with an SHA in a long while but I know I had the same issue the first time and when I took it back apart it was obvious how the lever was catching.

The choke doesn't unlock until you twist the thorttle completely.

You snap the throttle wide open very quickly, the slide hits the lever and it latches.
