Hobbit - ugly noise coming from clutch? (w/ video)

clutch noise

?

Anybody have any idea what's going on? It seems like the Variators are variating fine. If I start taking it apart should I order anything else while it's open? Clutch springs? Which ones? It's stock except for the new mlm pipe.

Downhill Harvey (OFMC) /

Probably cheaper to get a whole new clutch bell housing, part #1,

there's needle bearings inside the clutch bell housing.

The part called drive face for $98. Should I ugrade the weights and springs at the same time? Any suggestions?

There's a lot of metal dust on the outside of the variator.

Re: Hobbit - ugly noise coming from clutch? (w/ video)

best open it up. you'll need a puller first, so order one. Once you have it open, you'll be able to spot the broken spring or broken needle bearing or whatever and make another order.

if the whole drive face needs replaced, put a WTB up on the buy/sell forum before you dump $100 at westernhills.
