puch maxi e50 head torque specs?

What are the torgue specs for an e50 head?

How tight do I need to get the head? (edited)

Re: puch maxi e50 head torque specs?

erm, I just crank it until it's fully sealed by hand with a socket wrench. Replace the brass nuts though as those strip their thread easily. Then test it with the bike running for leaks using the wd40 method...not scientific, butI like the manual approach...

Brass nuts? Fully sealed by hand? The e50s (at least the newer style) Don't come from the factory with brass nuts

Those are exhaust nuts.

Ya Peter I'm glad your nowhere near my bikes! Ha ha

Are those torque specs also for Z50 engines?

Re: puch maxi e50 head torque specs?

The torque specs aren’t as important as knowing when to re-torque it after a ride.

gaskets crush and studs stretch a little. Eventually it all settles. Ride, let it cool, use a little pressure to snug the head back down. After a few rides, you’ll go to snug those head nuts down and it will still be tight.

Knowing that part is more important than the initial torque.

Same for intake and exhaust.
