Clutch Noise? Jawa 130

Nick Nothom /

I had my Jawa 130 out last night, and noticed a prominent noise coming from the transmission. I took it home immediately and changed the gearbox oil, which was rather dirty. I do not know when it was last changed. Anyway, that did nothing to quiet the noise. I pulled the CVT cover off and it's definitely coming from in there, what I would assume to be the clutch? It's a click click noise when you move the pedals slowly, and a continuous scraping noise at higher speeds. Here's a video!

Hope someone can tell me what I need to do to fix this!

Thanks everyone,

~Nick

get a clutch puller from treats do a search on the wiki will tell you what size, pull the clutch and look inside sounds to me like a starter clutch spring snapped but i could be wrong, if im right get a spring there on the internet i think mopedhwarehouse.com has them

may wear your clutch pad down faster but it didnt harm mine when it happened to me, but that's your decision

I think it is worn out clutch pads, not broken spring- otherwise I do not know how it would start...

hungarian guy on eBay sell clutch parts- open your clutch and check what is necessary to replace, than clean/degrease everything in there- belt makes big black nasty mess, also check for any leaks, might need new seals, maybe new belt too?

my spring was broken and it started every time, not saying that it is the problem but i drove mine 5 days a week for months before i got a puller
