Transmission oil leak from stripped screw

So one of the hex bolts won't tighten and unfortunately I believe it's the threading in the case that's stripped because the screw looks fine. This weak point in the tightness of the case is causing a leak and want to know if my only option to effectively fix this is to purchase a new transmission case.

Re: Transmission oil leak from stripped screw

If you dont already have the tap and the drill bit,you can get one of those kits that comes with everything. I'm pretty sure it's M6 but i dont know how many teeth per inch, you can measure the screw.

if all it holds, homo, is like 10w40 or something, and your gears. just tap it. i done mine. as long as theres room. dont take half as long, unless you want to buy the big part over.
