tried and proven petcock for NU50

Gruff "(OFMC)" - /

Looking for an aftermarket petcock that is a proven fit for NU50 gas tank. Not ideas ... but a proven fit. The treats 14mm x 1.5 is said to not work so anyone out there find one that does work?? not willing to pay inflated prices for a 10 dollar part. thanks!

I ended up with a used one from ebay.

DO NOT GET THAT 14MM X 1.5MM, IT DOES NOT FIT. I bought 2 of those, thinking Treats just effed up my order the first time. I must have clicked 2000 petcocks on ebay and Honda's fiches, looking for another bike that might have the same petcock, but gave up when I got this one. Someone at Honda should be able to cross-reference it, or the NU50 is the only bike that uses that one. I find that hard to believe.

thanks for the link for future use, I guess thats a more reasonable price . I did find one stuffed in a box in the garage so Im good now

Re: tried and proven petcock for NU50

I have the same problem.

I was out bidded by $0.50 by an automatic bidding Ebay system last week. Crappy system. Its probably going to be re - auctioned at $65...no way.

I'm presently working on an alternative solution which is to install a vacuum petcock valve on my tank.

The one I found (from a Yamaha I think) fits on the tank's tread and I'm planning on using the (now plugged) remaining intake manifold nipple from the (now removed) oil pump to create the actual vacuum....should work.

Cost me $15 at my local moped scrap yard...You have to bring your gas tank inside for the guy to find the part. lol

I just put one of these on my NU50.

Bolts up perfect, you'll need a reducer for the fuel line because the output fitting is 8mm instead of 5mm. Also the line fitting comes out the back instead of the side, no big deal for me. Turn it sideways or loop the hose around.

I also just added to the Wiki, I had gotten a 14 x 1.5 after reading it and it was wrongo....
