Hey so my '82 Urban Express never came with an air filter or filter housing or any of the parts and pieces. Can I manufacture one from the hardware store or from lawnmower parts? Do I even need one, the little thing is loud as hell, which I guess is cool but I like my neighbors and don't wanna piss them off.
treatland has air filters just measure the oD of the carb throat and match it up. or auto parts store and get an oil breather and take that to lowes to rig some hoses, this way will cost more probably. dont run it without an air filter
I think that I have an extra airbox. I live in Portland too and will give it to you for free.
That would be hella cool, I could pick it up Monday or Tuesday.

I usually ride on Thursdays not Tuesdays. I have a 7am meeting every Wednesday morning which means I cant be out drinking and riding mopeds with you fools. Maybe I will stop by tonight to drop off the part, but it would be better if we meet up another day. I will private message you my phone number.

I've been helping him for the last two days. We've almost got it buttoned up. Can I get that air box, as I'm going back over there, as soon as I can see (got 2-stroke oil in my eye today, OUCH). I know you live close to me.

I got some kind of 'fast and furious' looking breather from advance or autozone or something. Was about 15 or 20 bucks, not the cheapest thing, but it worked really well and was readily available at the time - I just used the bendy rubber elbow hose from the stock box to connect em... but now that I re-read your post, you don't have that piece, so nevermind... durh
