2HP PUCH no electrical switches- Can I start it?

Just got a 2HP puch in non-running condition for a good price. Wanted to fix it up. The motor turned over fine, but I just realized it is missing the electrical switches on the handlebars and I didn't see any wires there. I honestly bought it thinking it was just a quick "clean the carb" fix.

Will it still start ok without the switches and wires? What do I need to do to make sure that it gets spark and starts without buying the switches on the handlebars?

check out the wiki article on hardwiring your puch.

only if they are correctly hard wired. try 1977 mopeds, they have the switch you are looking for.

Just Hardwire it, From engine grey to tail lite, yellow to headlite, solid blue to coil, ground the rest of the wires.

If you don't have switches, you can put the blue from the engine to the blue on the coil and ground every other wire coming out of the engine. (gray, green, yellow, green/black, blue/black, etc.)

All you need is the blue wire to start.

Sorry, just got back from vacation - Pics

Ok, I'm an idiot when it comes to wiring things. Does this look like it's wired correctly already? The top wire is black, the bottom is the blue one.

Here is another pic

Ok, the bottom wire with the crack in it is the blue one. All I am worried about is getting it to run, I don't care about the other electricals right now. Is this wired right for spark?

fallout Survivor /

if you have doubt, just put the spark plug with the outer metal touching the cyl head, and pedal.. See a spark?

you probably want to install the kill switch if you are going to ride it.
