my vespa starts after a lot of kicks, and usually some start fluid, then dies within like 30 seconds. it doesnt really idle, it did once. a lot of gas is coming out of the exhaust. whats going on?

what up with your carb? have you taken it out and cleaned it? also, try running it with the air filter off. youre running super-rich. also a likely candidate, i would think, is incorrect timing.
1. Get a new sparkplug.
2. Snug up your head bolts.
3. Snug up your intake bolts.
Should fix your problem.

oh yeah, that too!
It's flooding, float stuck down?
It just sounds like he's not getting a strong enough spark and ends up dumping all the fuel into the exhaust.
Does fuel only come out of the exhaust when trying to start it? or does it happen if you park the bike and leave it?
