Tomos A35 Head Gasket

Do the A35's have head gaskets?

Re: Tomos A35 Head Gasket

Nope, you might be able to use a puch one if you wanted though.

Re: Tomos A35 Head Gasket

Grey - could you tell us - would there be any advantage to a head gasket?

the reason i ask is when i first bought my tomos i put a cork head gasket in and had it for about 100 miles then someone clarified for me that it wasnt missing a gasket it never had one - so i removed it.

just curious if there would be any advantage - less need to deck every once in a while etc

Re: Tomos A35 Head Gasket

I don't really think there is an advantage unless you're really having sealing problems. A flat, smooth and clean mounting surface should seal just fine.

See Ya Moped Army /

If I'm not mistaken, the early A35's had head gaskets.

Re: Tomos A35 Head Gasket

I've heard that also, but I've never seen one in person.

Re: Tomos A35 Head Gasket

Yes its true early a-35s did. Around 95-92

Re: Tomos A35 Head Gasket

thanks for clarifying that :-)

Re: Tomos A35 Head Gasket

I hae a 93 TTLX and I don't have a head gasket, but it's possible it was taken apart before so I wanted to be sure....If you have 95-92 is it required? Doesn't run right and I've been through EVERYTHING....
