Honda NC50 throttle cable snapped

A few questions:

1) Can I find this cable in scooter shops that repair old bikes?

2) Do I have to go through the main bar to replace the old one or can i just slip the old cable out and leave the casing intact? How do you do this?

Thanks.

Re: Honda NC50 throttle cable snapped

Answer to # 2, do it exactly the way you descibed!

Re: Honda NC50 throttle cable snapped

Just buy a new cable from a Honda dealer, about $9. Tape the new one to the old one and when you pull the old one out, the new one pulls in in its place. Reattach, adjust it, and go!
