My Garelli Is Having Some Problems

I am desperately in need of help.

I have done everything i can think of. My Garelli Rally Sport will start but it will not idle.

It constantly goes at least 10 miles an hour.

I have adjusted the idle and am about to adjust the throttle.

I have good compression, a nice spark, and just got done having my gas tank cleaned/ re-coated.

I also replaced the piston rings and got the carbon out of my muffler.

Any suggestions on what i should do next.

To add to that.

My carb is cleaner than clean.

sounds like teh carb slide isn't cosing far enough. pull the air cleaner off and look in the carby throat. There should be just a very little gap at he bottom.

Look for cable housing that isn't properly seated at the twist grip and at the carby.

I would also suggest the carb slide is not closing all the way. Mine did that for a while, I had to readjust the spring seating. Also check your cables to see if they slide. A stuck throttle cable will act like a stuck carb slide.
