MOPED OIL

Do all mopeds have gear oil because i have a flying dutchman with a sachs motor and i have to mix oil in gas but do not know if it needs any other oil

Re: MOPED OIL

jason,

you put gear oil (transmission oil) in your engine through the hole in the SIDE of the gearbox that has a plastic screw in it. Unscrew the cap and put in 5.5 - 6.0 ounces of Type F transmission fluid. Available at any auto parts store. To find out if there is already some in there, loosen the plastic screw, tilt the bike and see what comes out. I would recommend draining it just like that and then putting fresh transmission oil in.

FYI, the plastic screw is in the side cover for the engine (the one that is NOT chrome)

Re: MOPED OIL

thanks i already opened the hole cover off and nothing in there but clutch (no liquids) thanks though ill get some fluid
