Re: cylinder all FUBAR

not really, unless u bore it out and find a big enough piston.

Re: cylinder all FUBAR

i'll look for a new cylinder. much easier

Re: cylinder all FUBAR

If the cylinder is chrome plated like my moby cylinder, you cannot bore it out. Keep an eye on ebay

Chrome or Nikasil, a Nickel Silicon combination. Can be replated.

Was the engine running when you took it apart? Were any of the rings or the piston circlip broken?I know it's to late now, just wondering what caused the damage.Peace.Jerry.

Re: cylinder all FUBAR

Yes, it could be stripped and replated, but will not be cheap, but it is a last resort.

I read something on having a cylinder replated in a Road Racing World magazine article, I don't think it was a whole lot more than $200, but you have to be knowledgable in what you want.

Re: cylinder all FUBAR

Your right, it runs between $150-200 for a small single cylinder.

Re: cylinder all FUBAR

You should really just look out for a replacement. Try cycle parts off ebay, under the name ibuyisell, ad email him to see if he has one, or call BJ at HandyBikes in Ohio to see if has one or knows where to gat a cylinder.

Re: cylinder all FUBAR

i just got a new one today, so all is good here

Re: cylinder all FUBAR

good good... good luck with it! :P
