batavus repair

I am trying to take apart the engine on a '78 Batavus Regency that I just purchased. It has the Laura M56 engine. I am having trouble removing the belt pulley that is above the clutch, what is the best way to get this off. Everytime I try to turn the bolt the whole mechanism spins. Do I just have to counter-turn the bolt on the other side? I'm just afraid of stripping one of them and then being totally screwed. I appreciate any help anyone can offer. Thanks.

Re: batavus repair

an impact wrench would be ideal. If you just hold the bolt on the other side, you may end up loosening the wrong one.

Is there a hole in the belt tha tyou could put a screwdriver or somethig thru?
