leaking oil tank

hears the deal, i have a leak in my oil tank, i checked the hose thats fine, i took off the whole tank and covered the little hole from the metal piece coming out of the tank, and a leak came from above the bolt and the washer, i think one of the seals broke cause all I have is one black rubber washer. If I take the tank off and just mix oil in with the gas from now on, will that still work? Becasue this tank is a pain in the ass...I might put a special kind of superglue around the opening of the tank so there is no leak, will that work? Thanks, john

sorry, its a ttlx 04

Re: leaking oil tank

If you do decide to remove the tank and run pre-mix make sure you plug all the lines and most importantly Remove the oil injection fitting on the intake and replace with the correct size bolt. You do not want to risk an air leak.

is that hard to do?

Re: leaking oil tank

Well, Your going to have to remove the chain, carb and the two forward most motor bolts and pivot the motor down to get to the intake.
