1980 Tomos won't start

I was driving along and then it sputtered for a while and then lost power. It felt like it was running out of gas, but I know the tank has some gas in it. Now it just won't start. When I try, it just never catches, it sounds exactly the same whether I have the switch on RUN or OFF. Any suggestions?

make sure the carb and exhaust are clean, install a new spark plug, make sure it has spark, retorque the head bolts to 10 ft/lbs.

Sounds like your intake bolts are loose on the reed valve manifold. Bike will not catch if you are drawing air through the loose faces.

his profile says he has a 1980 a3. it wont have reeds nor the loose intake manifold problem that the a35 suffers.
