TOMOS LX MOPED HELP!!!!

HEY, I HAVE A 1999 TOMOS CLASSIC TT MOPED, IT RUNS JUST FINE. I BOUGHT IT FROM SOMEBODY USED, AND SOMETIMES IT HAS TROUBLE STARTING UP, AND WHEN IT DOES START, IT SOUNDS LIKE IT'S ABOUT TO STALL FOR A FEW MINUTES. AFTER A FEW MINUTES, IT'LL WORK JUST FINE...........AND IT'LL STAY ON FOREVER.............

I PUT IN NEW GEARBOX OIL, AND HAVE NEW OIL/GAS. I BOUGHT A NEW SPARK PLUG FOR IT TOO.

MY QUESTION: HOW DO I CLEAN THE 'CARB'?? IS THERE ANY EASY WAY SUCH AS USING UP ALL THE OIL AND GETTING SOME KIND OF CARB CLEANER AND PUTTING THAT IN THE GAS TANK? WHAT BRAND?? ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS ON MAINTENANCE??? THANKS A LOT................

Re: TOMOS LX MOPED HELP!!!!

I would say you should try changing your idle speed. Take off the side cover next to the carb and adjust the idle screw on the side... the idle screw should have a spring on it too, thats how you can tell, and play with that until you get a steady running motor
