Who has replaced their Motobecane's Gurtnter carb? What works? Moped junkyard recommends a Dellorto, but it is 90 bucks and you have to buy 40 dollars of extra crap to make it work. Anyone know of a more affordable fix?
Re: Gurtner replacements
Someone recently suggested the cheap-ola Chinese carbs that are found on the motorbike kits. They're like $35, and parts are available.
I have no idea of quality, but I do know that the Chinese are quite capable of making good equipment - when they want to.
Otherwise, ever heard that phrase "Breaks like a Chinese motorcycle"?
