Suzuki FA50 Shuttle Problems

Hello, I recently purchased a 1982 FA 50. My problem is anything over half throttle and it bogs and dies. If I hold it at half throttle I can get 15mph out of it. It will wind up and go about 20mph if I have the choke on full but as soon as I take the choke off it bogs. I did a compression test and it was 100psi. I took the carb apart and cleaned it 3 times. I flushed the oil and fuel tanks out and put in fresh stuff. I took apart the petcock/fuel pump and cleaned it and checked for any fuel delivery problems. I checked the spark and it's nice and bright blue. Anything else I can check? Is the compression maybe a little low? New rings maybe? Thanks........Mike

I also checked the exhaust pipe and it seems unobstructed.......Mike

u might need new rings but i dont know. and a good battery

Re: Suzuki FA50 Shuttle Problems

My battery is completely dead. Does that affect the ignition? I thought it was just for the signals and horn? Which wire do I disconnect for the governor?.......Mike
