Who sells jets for Gurtner carbs?

Brendan Connolly /

Hi im looking for a bigger jet for my Gurtner carb on my peugeot. I know that these carbs are no longer made but are jets still readily available on the market? If so where can i get some?

Re: Who sells jets for Gurtner carbs?

Bump. I see 1977 has them but shipping to Canada is not reasonable.

This has many Main jet sizes and they assume to all work on all Gurnter Style carbs. Shipping is kinda horrific tho. but not so much if you really need it

Re: Who sells jets for Gurtner carbs?

You are likely to come out cheaper and far better off to replace the carb and intake with something newer like an SHA.

Re: Who sells jets for Gurtner carbs?

I like the Dakar and its air bleed screw, and so far (two carbs) i've had no issues with bad castings.

Re: Who sells jets for Gurtner carbs?

That Gurtner clone is for scooters with electric choke, it is better then the old Gurts because it does have a air bleed for idle jetting but it is not calibrated for a old moped. The jets for the clone are same as modern Gurtners but are not the same as the old Gurts.

You also have to mess around to adapt the electric choke.
