STP,Gumout

I have a feeling im going to have everyone tell me this is a bad idea but im going to ask anyways. Would it help at all if I got a bottle of the gumout or stp carburator cleaner that you just put in the tanks of cars. If I only use a little bit will it destroy anything? Will it even help? Just a thought.

I was considering using that stuff for soaking a carb with. If you're thinking of putting it in the gas, it might work alright. Although, I haven't tried it like that before, so I would suggest doing slight amounts at a time. Like maybe 1/2 - 1 oz. per tank or something...

Good luck,

you'll end up burning a hole in your piston.

Re: STP,Gumout

My friend dumped a whole half a bottle in a moped that only was half full of gas (step through) that moped survived well.

Maybe 2-3mph top end loss

the top end loss was caused by the carb cleaner washing the oil off the cylinder, and the engine over heating. ive seen pistons completely melted down to the rings and holes burned in them cuz carb cleaner burns so hot.
