Why do dellorto carbs...

suck. Not really suck but why is it that the choke sticks on them. i have purchased a couple of tomos' and every time i have to yank on the throttle cable to disengage the choke. is this a common problem that can be remedied? or am i stuck with this burden?

Re: Why do dellorto carbs...

knowing how the choke works on them, you will have to live with it. This is why some carbs have a lever on the body to use or release the choke. These always work.

thats how they work. they are a much better carb than an encarwi or bing in my opinion.

Re: Why do dellorto carbs...

Dellortos are the best. I wouldn't use anything else.

Re: Why do dellorto carbs...

dellortos are the shit.

Re: Why do dellorto carbs...

They'll even stand up to the almighty poohammer.

Re: Why do dellorto carbs...

If your throttle's adjusted right, and the choke is still sticking, you may have a worn cable with too much flex inside(too much `give'). But I'll admit I wish the Dellorto had a choke lever on the handlebar. don-ohio (:^)
